The Appraisal Studies Course feels like graduate-level study - demanding, thoughtful, and firmly rooted in professional methodology. It aligns seamlessly with general appraisal practice for personal property standards. The quizzes are tough, but they ensure mastery before you move forward, which strengthens both confidence and competence.

Whether a veteran in the industry or a newly graduated Gemologist, everyone will complete this course with increased knowledge and confidence, and that knowledge is power.

There is not a week that goes by that I do not mention the benefits of [NAJA] to another jeweler or gemologist. Before I felt like a small boat in a big ocean, now I feel like part of a Navy fleet.

FTC GUIDES

The FTC creates and enforces rules to address unfair methods of competition and to carry out the laws that protect consumers from deceptive and unfair business practices in particular industries, such as telemarketing, the funeral industry, and the marketing of jewelry and precious metals. They also create guides to inform marketers what kinds of advertising claims would mislead consumers so they can avoid making those claims.  Professional appraisers should also abide by all FTC guidelines as written.  Please click the link below to view the complete Guides for the Jewelry, Precious Metals, and Pewter Industries.
